This was juicy! The romance of it is in it's realism, and it's subtlties are magnified by this. I will definitely read this again and recommend it for both the devout medical murder mystery nut, or those like me, who want something unique to savor. And all I know is I'm not planning on visiting a hospital any time soon.
Briskly paced cross between Grisham and Crichton

Like most books, N.O. Survivors took a few pages to get into the flow, but was certainly worth the wait. The book has the medical detail of some of Michael Crichton works, especially the actions of the villain (oxygen system and water piping). The relationships between the various groups within a hospital are true with the occasional tensions. Having the Director of Risk Management be the central character uncovering the 'accidents' is a neat change from the doctor centered hospital stories you usually get. There are several twists and turns that kept me really interested. I finished the book over the weekend and thought that a sequel can not be far behind. I can't wait.
