A remarkable novel of depth and quality. Inspiring!
Published by JoAnn , 1 month ago
I stumbled upon this book shortly after it was written, at a point in my life when I was just beginning the teacher certification process myself. This book moved me and stuck with me.
Now decades later, I reread it and appreciate it even more. In a beautiful and sensitive way, it lays out the lifelong journey of a woman born into poverty who has a clear vision of the importance of education in her own life and the lives of others. To describe this novel as inspiring would be an understatement! Highly recommend .
