No Ravens Fly in Heaven

Raven Ameer is an antisocial 35-year-old Muslim hitman who lives in the fictional State of Zevienia in the U.S. He is addicted to music, alcohol, writing, and killing-but not specifically in that order. His fake job, a delivery truck driver, enables him to move around freely whenever he wants to keep an eye on his victims.

Before ending their lives, Raven forces his victims to listen to one last song of his choosing. He has a playlist titled "Music to Die to" that contains songs of various genres. Raven also tends to do the killing drunk, and he likes to jot down some thoughts of his before, after, or during the process. He is too eloquent that his rhetoric sometimes sounds robotically structured.

A botched kill involving a fearless victim makes Raven's whole world collapse. He starts hallucinating, having nightmares, and feeling estranged from himself. Matthew Edwards, a shrewd workaholic detective from Zevienia Police Department (ZPD), develops suspicions about Raven who becomes a stalkee.

Unable to revert to the killing machine he used to be, Raven seeks therapy. He tells his psychiatrist everything about himself except for the fact that he kills people for a living.

No Ravens Fly in Heaven is a first of three installments-a prequel and a sequel are planned to be published in 4-6 years.

This novel shall attract those who doubt their existential purposes, have never been in love, want to believe in a grand scheme and divine powers but cannot, miss someone, are looking for someone, adore music, have penchant for alcohol, are addicted to alcohol but will never admit it, are fantasying killing someone, would like to dance but are too embarrassed, and finally-those who keep asking themselves: What am I?
