A "Must Read"

We read this story EVERY night. My daughter can even quote the entire book. No, she hasn't thrown her bottle away yet but I think it might be very soon. I only wish they sold a "bright red bunny mug" for her to drink out of. I bet that would help us get rid of the bottle for sure! *sigh*

I Can't Believe It Worked!

My 2 year old son has been going to bed with a bottle of water for almost a year now. It was the only way he would soothe himself to sleep. I really thought it was going to be a struggle to get rid of that comfort item. We read the book together for 3 days and IT WORKED! I was very surprised because, honestly, it is a VERY "babyish" book. I changed some of the words in the story to better suit my son's routine and on the third night he took a deep breath, put his hand on the page that I was reading and said "I throw away bottle". I said "really! are you sure?". He replied, "yeah, I a big boy now. Not a baby anymore". So, we ran downstairs, threw it out...just like bunny, waved bye bye, grabbed a sippy cup, and went on with our bedtime routine. He is so proud of himself. Next milestone...the toddler bed. I got a book for that too:).

Thank God for this book!!

Duckie could do what we could not ,which was get our son off the bottle. I had been trying to get rid of the bottle since my son was 18mths.Right before his second birthday, we got the book. 2 weeks later, no more bottles for Pietro either, lol. Really cute story of a little bunny who wants to join Duckie's tea party, but can't because he has a bottle. All the little animals at the party have thier own special cup they drink out of and they want to make Bunny the baby. He does not want that and wants to join in the fun so he tosses his bottle and gets a bunny cup. Worked like a champ for my son who refussed to go to bed or nap without his bah-bah. Hats of 100% to this book, because I tried everything and was going no where. Now if they just made one about going to sleep by yourself and in your own bed, we'd be set.lol
