Vacation to a foriegn country

This is a beautiful book! It makes you feel that you have just been to a foriegn country, if you do not already live there. If you love Santa Fe, or the mountains, or innocent good people, or just clean, comforting reading, you will love this book. I have loaned it to friends, and they always want their own copy.

You can smell the pinon and recognize the people.

I have read this book several times. Its is charming! The customs of the native Santa Fe people come alive. You can see the adobe houses with geraniums in the windows. The mountain splendor is not far away and the pines are impressive. This book doesn't have a plot, it is just short stories, but the characters pull it together.
