Olive Oakely's journey starts in Portland, Oregon. She thinks Portland will be good for her until her dad goes missing. After befriending Bethany, her world is turned upside down yet again. Olive learns to be independent, responsible, and the value of friends and family. She also finds out that nothing ends and there are no goodbyes.
