One of Gordon Korman's best books

I first read this book years ago when I was a kid and totally fell in love with it. I remember having to take care not to read it in public because I kept laughing too loudly! I have since read it many times and still enjoy it just as much, even as an adult. Gordon Korman creates a world and characters so real that you wish his books were ten times as long. The story is about Artie Geller an 11 year with a very special talent - he is the world's best entrepreneur. He joins five other 11 year olds and tour counsellors Rob and Dennis on a road trip from Canada to Los Angeles. Along the way he comes up with numerous highly successful (and highly hilarious) money making schemes and before long has his whole tour bus (the "Ambulance") involved. The characters are so likeable and the adventures so much fun, you'll wish there really was a "juniortours" and that you could go along on the ride! In my honest opinion Gordon Korman's "No Coins, Please", "I want to Go Home", "Don't Care High", "Semester in the life of a Garbage Bag" and the two "Bugs Potter" books are MUST reads for anyone (young or old, boy or girl) who loves a good laugh and a book you can't put down. The Bruno and Boots series are also definitely worth a read if you can get hold of them. I highly recommend "No Coins, Please" - you will not regret buying it!

An enduring smile of a book....

Let me preface this review with one simple fact: I am 25 years old. Above this I am college educated, professionally employed and, for the most part - quite well adjusted. This being said, I will say that this book, though read in my childhood - has stayed with me for years, and in fact, I have fond memories of sleeping with it under my pillow long after I completed it. This book has everything, clean phrasing, great images, warm and funny humor and above all, characters that just about any kid can relate too on some level....with the exception of Artie - who I always felt represented the wonder of what we were capable of, or at very least hoped we were. Plus, his entrepreneurial style is particularly enthralling, especially in these days of the adolescent internet millionaire. Gordon Korman, wherever you are, thanks - from a kid whose life you've made a bit happier.

Artie gets rich fast From small buisnesses!

The auther of No Coins, Please is Gordon Komran.Gordon Korman is a great auther , and he wrote his first book in grade seven. This book is about a juniortours group that has one trouble maker in it.The trouble maker takes off in a few different cities and makes a lot of money off sall buisneses. The main character of No Coins, Please is Artie Geller. He is an 11 year old boy from Canada. He has dark eyes, brownish black hair, and he is average hight. The setting takes Artie and his juniortours group all over the United states.I really liked the book No Coins, Please because it is a very funny book and it doesn't have any meaning of life at all. There are a few parts that really ade e laugh. This is a good book to read if you likto laugh a lot.The funniest parts are when someone discribes someone or something.I think that it would be fun to tour the United States with a group of poeople my own age.I also think it would be scary to be Artie all alone in the city.No Coins, Please is one of the 2 best books I've read.
