No Books Allowed is the third novel of the series Read My Book, preceded by Read My Book and Bury that Book. It picks up a year prior, when Jodi and Adowa arrive in Elikya, known as the land of hope, where everyone is accepted. Elikya is a fictional land where race, gender, sexuality, disability do not separate or distant people; a place where people from Rhodesia seek help. On their journey, they stop at Caputo Forest, where Adowa influenced by the forest's mystical power, confesses to killing her own mixed-race baby out of fear of what the whites would do to him. She is captured by Elikyan law enforcement, sent to prison and proceeds to stand trial in 'the Babemba', a circle where Elikyans persecute criminals. She is acquitted by the 18 leaders - Luanda, Cabinda, Bi , Bengo, Lunda-Sul, Lunda-Norte, Kuanza Norte, Kuanza Sul, Namibe, Benguela, Uige, Zaire, Huila, Huambo, Cuando-cubango, Cunene, Malanje and Moxico.
