This book consists of Rachel Roberts' diary entries, interspersed with biographical info about her. You really feel that you come to know what goes on inside this woman. However, reading this book is extremely depressing. Roberts had a bit of a warped notion of the world and what is important. Money, fame and prestige seemed to be paramount in her life. And she obsessed about Rex Harrison and the luxuries he could give her. She had quite an illustrious career but the woman needed therapy and a stay at a rehab clinic. I recommend this book, however. One gets a sort of voyeuristic look into her private life, by reading her diary entries.
