An outstanding read

As a day trader of some 3 years experience, I found the lessons in this book very valuable. I found the practical application of NLP techniques to live day trading very enlightening and yes it improved my trading results - is that not the best accolade you could give a book that actually achieves its goal? To be fair to the new reader the content whilst easy to follow was quite dense and compressed in terms of the amount of information contained. This book pays repeat reading, the use of a pen to underline the points that hit you. A pen on the second on third read reveals even more. After the third read, I decided I wanted to precis the book to a manageable 30 minute read for me to review and go over every week. That exercise took me a day and I ended up with a 17 page document of the key essentials. To anyone who wants to day trade seriously, and I am now making this my sole income earner, this book is essential reading and will assist you in eliminating any of the personal gremlins that could mar your judgement in the "heat of the moment" of trading. Mr Carroll deserves to be recognised for writing a book that gets to the core of how to be successful. It is written with the insight of one who has made all the mistakes any trader makes when entering this field. Most importantly his solutions are practical and can be applied by novice and experienced alike.

Solid Choice for Stock Market Success

Terry Carroll's book delves not too deeply into NLP, so if you are hesitant or even negative towards NLP, don't let it stop you from checking it out. This book does a MUCH better job of preparing someone for the psychology of stock market investing than overhyped disappointments like Mark Douglas' "Trading in the Zone." Very good choice for market timers/stock traders, especially if paired with Sy Harding's "Riding the Bear."Good guidance within about getting to "know" yourself and the level of risk you are comfortable with.
