I was conflicted about releasing this collection. There's a certain weight that these poems hold that can be heavy on the spirit. Although there is elevation for each dive into the depths of humanness, I understand sometimes it takes time for the light to overshadow the darkness. I know most read to be entertained or to escape from reality. The teleportation to peace of mind reading provides is unmatched. However, there is also the element of reading to understand and to be understood. Disregarding the unglamorous aspects of life is doing a disservice to the totality of living. With these poems, I hope unspoken voices are heard, clarity is brought to confusion, emotions seem a little less irrational and the words meant to reach you, the reader, do so in the most valuable way possible.
