The kusarigama (鎖鎌, "chain-sickle") is a traditional Japanese weapon that consists of a kama (the Japanese equivalent of a sickle) on a kusari-fundo - a type of metal chain (kusari) with a heavy iron weight (fundo) at the end. The kusarigama is said to have developed during the Muromachi period. This book is an introduction to one of the most unique weapons in japanese budo history.
Of the 82 pages, 44 of them were "samurai terminology" - a dictionary of terms with errors. The "how to use" meat of the book consists of 10 techniques, which are all variations of "wrap weight around hands, hit various places with kama." These techniques are not practical or traditional.
