Nearly worthless guide

There are only 16 photos and illustrations in this book. The first 11 are trivial photos or drawings of the camera body, a picture of the battery, the stock strap, etc. at the very beginning. The next four are just plain wrong drawings from a different camera, including a drawing for loading a battery in a compartment on the bottom! (In the D5, the battery is a tray loaded on the side.) In addition to bits of erroneous information, the "guide" is loaded with trivial tripe in the way of "Final Thoughts", and "notes from the field". This would be a hack manual for a $50 junker; it is pitiful for a powerful professional camera. Do NOT waste your money on this miserable excuse for a "guide". Just stick with the well-thought out, thoroughly illustrated, very helpful FREE download D5 manual from Nikon on their web site.
