This book is filled with wonderful Illustrations that tell a fun story. Great for kids.

Northern Lights and Fireflies

The few children's books to be found on the subject of the northern lights are typically non-fiction, science-oriented treatments. Nightlight is about the inescapable feeling of awe and grandeur the aurora borealis evokes in us when we see it, especially for the first time. Two little bears awake to "discover" the northern lights while fireflies add sparkle to a magical night.There are no talking animals here--just real, yet whimsical woodland creatures. Of course they see and enjoy the northern lights just as you and I do. The watercolors complement the story perfectly and make it all seem both real and special.Besides being a lovely little story about the northern lights, this book has brief explanations of the natural phenomena of aurora borealis and fireflies at the end, plus, inside the jacket is a poster!
