The first time he heard the voice, it told him something was about to happen he wasn't going to expect. Sure enough, the next day at work, he was paid that morning; laid off that afternoon. At least he had his writings to keep him occupied. Besides fiction, he also wrote non-fictional interviews, one of which leads to a friendship with a one-time film student who is now an assistant director in Hollywood. This also leads to a sit-down with some studio people about a film script based on one of his stories. But when they ask for corrections on the script and several treatments for other stories, all he can do is turn to a female script doctor for help. Will their liaison lead to romance, or will their partnership fail all together? Only the voice, which has contacted him several times, knows for sure. It's a story that combines the paranormal with a glimpse of life in Hollywood.
