Night People: Portraits from Central Florida
Between 2018 and 2020, photographer Patrick Scott Barnes documented the people who brought Central Florida's nightlife to life.
Using a compact Canon G9 X camera, Barnes captured spontaneous portraits at bars, art galleries, music venues, and special events throughout Orlando, Sanford, and Altamonte Springs. From musicians and DJs to artists, regulars, and unforgettable personalities, each photograph offers a glimpse into a community that thrived after dark.
Taken during the final years before the COVID-19 pandemic transformed nightlife, these images preserve a unique moment in time. Some subjects are stylish, others eccentric, and many are simply everyday people enjoying a night out. Together, they create a visual record of a vibrant and diverse nightlife scene.
Whether you're interested in street photography, portrait photography, Central Florida history, or simply enjoy people-watching, Night People offers an honest and colorful look at the faces that made the night memorable.
