When sixteen-year-old Cassandra follows her pack leader into the land of Havea, she is overcome with feelings of relief and tranquility. Her pack had been constantly persecuted just for being werewolves. At last, Cassandra could see her people making a happy home.

At first, the people of Havea are welcoming. But strange occurrences interrupt the peace of the land, and the residents soon become suspicious of their new neighbors.

The stillness of the night is continually interrupted by long, eerie wolf howls. There are wolves seen hiding in the shadows. And these are not ordinary wolves, but enormous, monstrous beasts with gleaming red eyes.

Tensions rise between the two groups, tensions that soon escalate into bloodshed.
