WOW! Scary, freaky, and a GREAT READ!

I read this book with some skepticism since the first was a little "dry", but wow, I am glad I did. Dan Brady is not some Arnold, going around blasting villains to kingdom come, nor is he some kind of punisher, out to punish the people who abducted his family. No, he is a ordinary man, cast into a extraordinary situation in which he had miraculously survived to fight another day...literally. It is like us, waking up, dreadful at what happened, giving up at times, yet finding the strength to go on.Book 2 has Dan heading out to a source of known power that the people who abducted his family want. He goes in search of clues and answers and something little called...REVENGE! This is a great read!!! By it and you will NOT be sorry....

a must read for horror fans!!!

It will take a while to get this book out of my head. I was scared when I read it and had nightmares as well. This is a must read for any horror or Robert Holdstock fan. This story is about a man who's family gets abducted by ghostly men who wear masks of animal heads. He gets hurt by these people and ends up in the hospital only to realize that the people who took his wife and kids have been terrorizing the other patients and nurses while he was in the coma. He befriends a woman who had the same thing happen to her husband and they use magic and herbs and witchcraft to try to figure out where their families are. I must say this is one hell of a book. I haven't been this scared since I read "IT" by Stephen King and I'm still terrified of clowns. Robert Holdstock has a very vivid way of writing and it is what makes his books so good and so scary. Once again, I recommend this book to any horro fans out there who love it when they read a good scary book and keep looking over their shoulder as they read it.
