This book relates a life story of Nhamo, an orphan girl whose mother was murdered in her village. She grew up without her father, although he was alive.Nhamo was forced into an early marriage. She got married to Sam, an orphan who sacrificed to send her to school to acquire adult education. The education opened a new world for her. Her perceptions in the new world deceived her to the extent of tolerating a strange hand to control her love and marriage with Sam. The end for her was a tragedy; that was soon after she had known her biological father. So pathetic.
