New Trends in Buchi Emecheta's Writing: A study of The New Tribe

New Trends in Buchi Emecheta's Writing: A study of The New Tribe is a critical reading of one of the most Nigerian feminist writers, Buchi Emecheta. Born in Nigeria, she joined her husband in England where she died. She had five children in six years of marriage. She was in difficult conditions with her Nigerian husband in England. She changed her life by leaving her husband and registering for classes in a university. She wrote many novels, but most of her novels deal with sexual discrimination and racial discrimination. In fact one her novels Kehinde is an autobiography. Yet, her book, The New Tribe, which constitutes my work, deals with a topic which seems to be uncommon in her works, interracial adoption. Besides, many of the protagonists in Buchi Emecheta's works are female, but her last masterpiece a young black boy constitutes the main character. It's about the young Chester who is adopted by a white couple. These latter were not able to have children, because of their negative rhesus.
