The world's richest person isn't such a bad guy, except for that time he tried to destroy humanity with asteroids, changed his mind, and desperately tried to stop it. With the help of his trusted quantum computer pal Sammy, they seek a solution to their problem by enlisting the help of an average nobody named Ed Huxley. He's underqualified, undereducated, and underwhelming, but all of Sammy's simulations say he's the one to save the Earth. That's crazy, right? What follows is the science-drama-action-comedy-romance of the century. And sometimes they're in space, which is pretty cool. Oh, and it's 2069. Did I say that yet? Well, it is, which is also pretty cool because, you know, "the future" and stuff.
