With regard to the last 2 reviews, yes. This book is made for you to feel like an 8th grader. I think I know why. This book was used in a class called "Computer Literacy" at MCC College. To take almost all the computer classes at MCC College, you need to take Computer Literacy. This book was designated to people that have almost zero knowledge about a PC. This book is not designed to know how to put in a CD in a CD Drive or to boot up a PC (That is for a Windows XP book), but this book does teach you about basic hardware terminologies, such as what is a bit, rom, types of ram, internet terminology such as packet sniffer, what exactly is TCP/IP and what a protocol does. Seems a lot but I was able to read this book completely (Considering I'm gonna proficiency out of the Computer Literacy class) and not fail to understand a part of it. I liked it.
