Peter Fransen is the foremost 20th century expert on the theology of grace. No book has surpassed this one since it was published 40+ years ago. The book is well organized with lots of subsections and easily readable. The organization allows one to skip around with having to read it straight through. The translation expresses the concepts clearly. They are relatable to ones personal daily life and help the reader understand many dynamics of Christian theology. Rather than feeling like a scholarly treatise, the text reads like a personal journal of one who is experiencing Grace as he writes. He relies heavily upon quotes and interpretation from Scripture. There is also an Appendix with aids for individual and group reading. He was a professor of mine at Innsbruck. It should be the first book you read on the subject of grace and may well be the only you need read.
