Historical fiction short stories about life in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in the mid to late 1960's. The author presents a little spookier version than volume One. You could call it life and death in the daily lives of the people of Kona. The reader will be drawn into the stories by the way it is presented and may even learn a thing or two about the history of the area. Each chapter is the name of a town in the district of Kona on the Big Island where the story takes place. The original stories were written in the late 1960's and some were published in Kona's first newspaper called "The Kona Torch". The stories are fictional but the background and the history of the people and the area are accurate as told to the author by residents of the Kona. Ruth Sleightholm lived in Kona in the 1960's and 70's with her husband Stanley, known locally as radio personality "The Barefoot Haole" and their 3 children Steven, Sheldon and Sherrill who all attended Konawaena Elementary, Intermediate and High School.
