One of the region's most acclaimed photographers combines 150 vivid color photographs with a selection of early black-and-white images from her 40-year career. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have 3 or 4 of her books and I don't typically buy photography books. She somehow conveys emotion - I don't know how much that would change if she did a book on a place I have little interest in (maybe Miami), but I still think I might buy it!
An attractive, outstanding book

For over forty years the name of female photographer Ulrike Welsch has been making waves in the field: she's produced images for major U.S. publications, was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize, and has captured classic New England scenes, but New England Rediscovered is no retrospective. Instead it's new material, reflecting Welsch's recent photos of the region, and packs in over a hundred new color photos from across New England. Prior fans of her work will be delighted to find something new here, while newcomers will easily come to understand why she's been receiving such acclaim: the images are powerful and when treated to full-page coverage in a presentation of their own, make for an attractive, outstanding book whether it's used for coffee table embellishment or to grace the collections of any strong in New England images or lore.
