Profound and funny gem

This book is such an easy, breezy, fun read, it took me awhile to notice how profound it is. Bill Weil uses examples from his own life - some of them hilarious - to guide the reader to things that work in a relationship. His honesty is disarming and the simplicity is charming. This is a book that's actually useful. I found myself reading big sections to my husband and we laughed and had great conversations around the topics. I have received lots of gratitude after giving the book to coaching clients who are working on their relationships. You don't want to miss this gem!

A fun & easy read, with practical, useable advice--makes you think!

Being divorced and now in my second marriage, I've read my fair share of relationship books. Most of them are dull and impractical, written by people with all sorts of fancy degrees who don't seem to live in the real world. This is the first relationship book I've read that held my interest all the way through and gave me plenty of examples that mirrored situations I could relate to and that had an impact on my behavior and understanding of relationships. I also liked that the author clearly has a unique sense of humor, and a different way of communicating that to the reader. This guy is funny! I actually found myself smiling or even laughing out loud. This book is a keeper and I will definitely read it again & again. Delightful and inspiring

I found William Weil's book on relationships very easy to read and almost impossible to put down. Weil puts sophisticated psychological concepts and deep wisdom in language that is easy to understand. Even more importantly, his suggestions are practical and very doable. I love the sense of humor and natural tone that comes through. Weil writes as if he is sitting in his living room, having an intimate conversation with the reader.
