Chile's constitutional assembly submitted the final text of a proposed new constitution to President Gabriel Boric, ending a year-long process to replace the country's magna carta that goes back to the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship.

President Gabriel Boric (1986), the 37th Chilean leader and also the youngest president to lead the South American nation, came into office on the 11th of March, 2022.

Nearly six months into his presidency and after the resounding rejection of the constitution which he supported, he is now likely to make changes to his cabinet to bring in more moderate and politically experienced lawmakers.
