New Blood is an intriguing tale about a vampire, raised by humans, who is quite different from other vampires. Sadie Moore was found by a vampire hunter as an infant. He could not bear to kill an innocent child and decided to keep her and raise her as his own. This task was passed down from generation to generation through his family as Sadie grew at a decidedly slower rate than a human child. The story tells of Sadie's coming of age, as she decides to venture away from her family and live independently for the first time in her life. She meets other vampires, werewolves and witches as she is thrust into a war between two supernatural underground forces, the likes of which she never imagined existed. Wanted by both factions, Sadie must make difficult choices about who to trust, how to survive, and the importance of following her heart.
