I have worn out three copies of this Bible.

I guess I was too cheap to buy a durable copy. One made it through RCIA. One made it through Lay Ministries. And the third took its toll over the years. I could rehash the fact that this translation was from the oldest available sacred text and the newest understanding of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. However, I think it is important that this translation is intended to stay true to the original wording. There is a Section on the Bible in the Church in the beginning.
