This book, is written with the intention of breaking the silence, dispelling the fear of truth telling, and spurring a deeper debate about the future of the African Continent. For a long time, Africa has been talked about more than it talks about itself; It is expressed through the eyes and perspectives of others. Also, Africa has been measured by external criteria, and judged by narratives not based on the realities of its people. Through its author, Young Philosopher and Pan Africanist, Jacksoni Mwanuzi Gilberth, this book dares to say that Africa's time to be shamed has come to an end.

The concept of a "New Africa" as used here, represents the courage to do what is right without asking for consent, without fear of blame, and without being bound by failed systems or attitudes to bring progress to African citizens. Also, the author uses this concept calling on African countries to take practical, open and consistent measures even when they are challenged, criticized or misguided.
The book discusses the things that African countries should do to build true development: protecting and using its resources for the benefit of its citizens, building strong education and health systems, administering justice and the rule of law without bias, promoting domestic production, and standing firm in policy decisions aimed at the interests of its people over external interests. These are not abstract ideas, but possible steps in the event of strong leadership and accountability.
The content of this book is based on an exploration of the realities of Africa, its history, as well as living examples of countries and societies that have decided to change direction and embark on an independent journey. The book also openly questions why Africa, despite its immense wealth of human resources and resources, is still struggling developmentally, and makes the argument that the biggest problem is not a lack of capacity but a lack of courage to make difficult decisions.
However, the reader is invited to read this book with an open heart and independent thinking. Some of the arguments may seem harsh, unpleasant or touching on the interests of certain groups, but that's the cost of telling the truth. No progress is born in the comfort of hypocrisy; Progress is born in the courage to self-assess and adapt. The goal of the New Africa is not to blame, but to awaken conscience. The author aims to call on leaders, policymakers, academics, youth and ordinary citizens to recognize their role in building the Africa they aspire to. This continent does not need to be sympathetic, but it needs to believe in itself, stand up for itself, and act without apologizing.
It is my hope as a writer that the next pages will be a catalyst for productive discussions, changing attitudes, and concrete actions that will bring about progress that touches the lives of the people of Africa. The journey to a new Africa begins when we decide to let go of the shame of being who we are, and begin to act according to the capabilities we have.
