New York Times Bestseller The new must-read epic from master storyteller Ken Follett: more than a thriller, it's an action-packed, globe-spanning drama set in the present day. "A compelling story, and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I've read and enjoyed many of Follett's works. Can't find even one positive comment about this mess.

He tried to present two story lines and did a lousy job. I have a degree in English and have been an avid reader all my life. I can't remember ANY other novel that I have had to reread entire pages because I couldn't figure out what was going on. When it finally ended, I just sort of sat there and stared at the page and wondered what had happened! The only reason I knew I was at the end of the story is because there were no more pages with words on them! If this novel is representative of Follett's more recent works, count me out.
Not one of his best books

I have read everything Follett has written, but this one seemed like someone else wrote it. The fine detail wasn't there for me, and the story wasn't a "can't put it down" like all of the other books he has written. For me, it moved slowly, and I was waiting for it to speed up. It didn't happen. I was disappointed in this book, but not enough to pass on his next novel as I am a real fan. Some may still see redeeming features in this book. I just didn't. I haven't, unfortunately, been able to find other authors like him even though I have tried.
