Cathy I am now in my seventies, and this story has been told on my behalf by the author. Some of the story is factual, with many passages and chapters that describe some of the work that has taken place on farms during the last sixty years. Some of this novel is fictitious; you are left to make up your own minds as to what is fact and what is fiction. I was born in Wallow Green, Near Nailsworth in nineteen thirty eight. I spent the first thirteen years of my life there.
