An inside account of how Arthur Andersen & Co. went from great to gone, showing how the succesful "old school" partner philosophy was replaced by a "new school" partner philosophy that led to the... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book gives a great perspective on Arthur Andersen and its demise. The author speaks from personal experience about a change in culture. His view of a root change in culture over a number of years is better nd probably more accurate than the view of just the last couple years used by too many authors on the subject. Instead Mr. Filbert writes about a gradual change in culture at the root of this firm he clearly respected in its earlier days. The book is written in a series of easy to understand stories that are both insightful and entertaining. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. The author's perspective, reflecting his humility and values, is something that may have served this former powerhouse well.
