What an inspiring soul!

David Yone Mo was truly a God's warrior -- an extremely colorful, inspiring character. The author did a very good job presenting the story. To my opinion, this is a must read book for Christians.

A Bone-chilling Thriller!

From the very beginning I knew it was a thriller. David Yone Mo came from a family of high achievers, but he was the black sheep of this accomplished family. He was heartless (frightening anyone who crossed him) and zealous in his gangster exploits on the streets of Burma. He had a brilliant mind that was hell-bent on taking the road too-often traveled in the world of drugs and gangsters. "Never Say Die" is a riveting testimony of a young man who thrived on risk and extraordinary danger. His motto, which the author chose as the title of this book, was an apt one for this ferocious and gritty lion. His lifestyle had finally caught up with him, though. David's wife and mother prayed for him as he lay deathly ill in the hospital. Alone with his fevered thoughts, he faced the stark reality that he might be dying... "Never Say Die" brought tears to my eyes and heart-racing episodes of "what next?" I could not put this book down! I enthusiastically recommend "Never Say Die" to all who enjoy exciting biographies and especially those who love someone who's acting like the devil! You will be inspired and encouraged. I certainly was!

I knew David!

I knew David Yone Mo, and he touched my life with his courage. Though happy to have his story told, I wondered if his life, his passion, and his ministry could be captured in a book. However, it is delightful to read Doug Hsu's reporting of this gangster-turned evangelist whose reckless faith and obedient heart brought the Lord's blessings. Whether you knew David or not, you will find his story captivating--and challenging. It was while we were sitting around the dinner table that he first shared his "pig story." It was douby exciting since we were guests in the home of a pig veterinarian! God honored and blessed David's willingness to do the tasks no one else would do!

A Great Read!

If you are interested in an inspiring true story of how God can change a life... then you must read this book. It reminds me of books like Cross and the Switchblade and Run, Baby, Run from years ago. This is the exciting account of a biker, gang leader and drug addict who was dramatically changed by the power of the Christian gospel. This man, David Yone Mo, literally was raised from his death bed to become a powerfully transforming influence in his native country of Myanmar (Burma). Once I began reading, it was hard to put down. This story is so thrilling, that if it wasn't true, it would seem like a fairy tale. Ya gotta get it!
