This is an exciting true story about a lady who went to Turkey on vacation and wound up in a prison when innocent of any crime. Having experienced being in Mexico in the 60's, I knew what it was like to have people come up to you and try to get you to buy something when you weren't interested. This is what happened to the author, Gene Lepere, who was merely "window-shopping" at a table of embroidered articles when confronted by a very pushy souvenir seller who walked up to her. From there on, Gene leads us into a breath-taking experience of a single woman on her own in a foreign country who may never see the USA again. Be prepared for excitement. I could not put the book down until finished one night. Gene writes so well that you will experience her pain and frustration as well. For a woman of means to be thrown into a woman's prison was a complete shock and adjustment. It was most interesting to see how people in Turkey treated her. This is a must for any traveler to a foreign country who may buy something lest the same thing happen to them.
Never Pass this way again

This is a story that really puts one in the actual setting of where it began. That it is a true story is even more startling and scary of what can happen to someone in a strange country and how complicated life can become. Also the strength of one woman who faced all of the difficulties and still survived.
