Nevada is a state of extremes: Torrid and frigid, lush and arid, raucous and silent, bright and dark. The State Parks are the same, and also crowded and deserted. It all depends on where you are and when you are there. Whatever conditions you desire, the odds are you can find them here.
I spent a splendid summer touring those Parks, and a better year I have never had. I am going back next Spring, and it will be a rare year when I do not spend at least a few weeks in this unique state.
This book describes the Parks which I visited and many of my memorable experiences and impressions. Not all of them, by a long shot, for that would require several more volumes, but enough that it should pique your interest and persuade you to visit. I hope so.
Pleasures are doubled when they are shared.
