Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most prevalent form of dementia, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions, particularly in the aging population. Characterized by senile plaques, amyloid-beta (Aβ) deposits, neurofibrillary tangles, and selective neuronal loss, AD leads to a gradual decline in cognitive function, memory, and daily functioning. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its potential to reduce inflammation, attenuate neuronal damage, and improve cognitive function in animal models, offering new hope for AD patients.
