This guy not only writes one hell of a book, I bet he makes good homebrew as well! Woo Hoo!

It got me out the door

I thought it was a pretty good introduction with a lot of useful code. It doesn't have everything you could ask for, like RMI, but it did have a lot of talk about how to write UDP and TCP applications, what the difference is between broadcasting and multicasting, etc. It also had a pretty useful SMTP client that plugged right into my application.

This was the most excellent book on J++ !!!

It was much, much better than " Core Java " !!
