This is a story of Christopher Columbus' Fourth and final voyage. The events portrayed in this story are historically accurate. The main character is a boy who travels with the Admiral and the fairy who accompanies him. The fleet of four ships get caught in a hurricane, they are attached by hostiles, shipwrecked and marooned on an island for nearly a year. Columbus faces mutiny, failure, heartbreak and complete disappointment.This is not a child's story even though the main character is a boy. It is not a fairy tale even though Nena the Fairy is on one of the main characters. This is not a fantasy even though on the voyage they run into silkies, pixies, the tooth fairy, the blue fairies, and the angry Feathered Serpent.
