The Best Reference Book I own

I own many reference books. but once I purchased this book I no longer use the others. This Bible Dictionary along with your Bible gives you everything you need to study God's Word. This book explains everything. It even spells out how to pronounce the word. An excellent resource. Everyone needs this book in their library.

If you are ready to dig a little deeper, then you need to add this Dictionary to your own personal library. If you could only purchase one other study guide, this should be the one. An indispensable reference tool that can be used alone or side by side with any Bible or Study Bible translation (KJV, NKJV, NASB, NIV, RSV, etc.)As you read the definitions of various words or topics of interest, it provides continuous cross-references to Scripture verses; similar to a good Concordance or the teaching methods used by the most reliable Christian authors. Easy to understand, non-denominational, a wealth of pictures and graphics. If you want a clear understanding of words in the Bible with a Non Denominational point of view, this is the Dictionary for you. The Strong's Dictionary bring words to meaning. But the Nelson's Illustrated Version brings words to life. Both Dictionaries serve a tremendous purpose.I also ordered Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Manners & Customs : How the People of the Bible Really Lived. The two of these books together have an AMAZING Insight on how people not only lived but how they spoke! This gives you better understanding of why certain things were said in the Bible and clears up a some of the theological questions you may have.Take for example if I said, "This is a really cool book". 1000 years from now you would think I was saying this book is very cold. But really I meant this book is very useful, neat, or exciting. These Two Nelson books go hand in hand.My wife and I can not put these books down. They are just so useful and really do bring the Bible to life.
