This is a eulogy written almost thirty years after the loss of a loved one, Need Another Eye, Dear, Heed My Idea. It is a genuine reflection of some things many would like to share as well. Especially when it comes to the loss of a loved one. But for some reason, we have shelved them for so long. Like Malusi, broken hearts can only end in misery. They might think the same thing: I am hard done by this small oversight; I have only myself to blame since there is nothing to show for it, save for the dust that has collected on my memory. If you heed my idea, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. People tell stories, from generation to generation, but it is our footprints that tell the untold.
On the whole, it is about Malusi's brother, Moshe, a young and promising advocate, whose life ended short - he was murdered. Like Spafford's "It Is Well with My Soul", he also has a change of heart. I have another eye, dear.
