My Second Copy Because My Original was Washed Away in Katrina!

This cookbook is fabulous for the beginning and "seasoned" cook! Excellent information on cooking terms, herbs, measurements, the fundamentals! The recipes are great! Interesting that whomever owned it previously earmarked the same recipes I used prior to Katrina!

Truly a NECESSITY for EVERY KITCHEN

This would make a GREAT GIFT for: teachers, college grads, newlyweds, neighbors, out-of-town guests...the list goes on!!!! This cookbook is for ANYONE who cooks! There are kids recipes (both edible and not), kitchen tips and conversion charts, napkin folding and place setting guidelines, event planning tips and recipes...oh, and I don't want to forget the DELICIOUS RECIPES!!! The Spinach Meatloaf is divine and the Chicken Enchiladas are like "real" Mexican food (just use corn tortillas instead of flour). THIS IS A MUST GET!!!! Pair it with AUSTIN ENTERTAINS (another fabulous cookbook from the Austin Junior League) for a great gift - to you or someone else!

One of my favorites

I stumbled upon this book while looking for a gift for a friend. It has a wealth of information and the recipes are the best. So easy to make and yummy. My husband and my very picky son love everything I make from this cookbook. Please reprint this book quickly. I want to get one for my sister-in-law.

Whether I am giving a large party or just cooking for one or two, I find myself turning to this cookbook first - all the recipes are excellent. Glad this Austin secret is now avaiable to a larger audience!!

This cookbook is an great book for new cooks and experienced cooks as well! It makes a great gift for brides because it has a very informative reference and entertainment sections. All of the recipies are simple and the ingredients are easily found in any store across the country.It has over 600 recipies.I have found this book to be a great book to cook out of everyday as well as for parties!
