The story of World War II and Nazi Germany's weapons development cannot be considered complete without the inclusion of so-called "foo-fighters" into the dialogue. In WWII, foo-fighter(s) was the name given to a variety of unusual and anomalous aerial phenomena, witnessed by both Axis and Allied personnel. Today we would refer to them as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).The British and U.S. war archives contain a significant number of reports from military pilots (both American and British) documenting dozens of sightings of strange flying craft resembling saucer shapes, bell shapes and similar phenomenon during bombing raids over Germany.
