A Naughty Pug Who Learns His Lesson

Everyone who has been around a pug knows that they are prone to mischief and our small friend Ivan is no disappointment here. After digging a series of holes in this apartment (with his shovel, of course), naughty little Ivan gets to work repairing the damage (and who knew that pugs could repair drywall and flooring). Big easy-to-read type and lots of rhyme and word repetition make this a great text for beginning readers. "Dig Ivan, dig some more . . . Dig a hole right though the floor!"

You gotta love you some Ivan!!!

My son is 6 and loves books. We have a pug, too, which made this book even more endearing to us- NONETHELESS, you'll love it too. The story is simple and cute and don't get me started on the illustrations- too cute for words. The rhyming way the book reads is very catchy and my son and I have been quoting lines from it every day almost since we got it a week ago. There are 3 other books about other "naughty pets" and it makes a very cute little collection. I think these will be classic...

Way to Go Ivan!

Ok here's my 2nd review. Ivan's been a baaaaaaaaad puppy. Haven't you ever had a day?!! He makes up for it -- right? Anyway, both young and old will find the humor in this boldly colored and spirited picture book.

I Don't Know Who Laughs Harder, I or My Son!

I came across this at a local art museum book store, and bought it for myself as much as for my 3-year-old. We've only had it one day, and can't stop laughing! We've already read it six times. I really appreciate humor that translates for adults; it makes reading time more fun for us, too. Unlike the previous reviewer, I think the graphics are terrific (so does my husband, a graphic designer), the rhyming silly and fun, and the message more than satisfactory. This is a keeper, and I can't wait to buy the others in the series. The only other books we have laughed this hard at are some of the Todd Parr books. Buy it!

How refreshing to find books like these....I now have all 4 in the series and this is our favorite. My daughter LOVES them. Bravo.
