A lushly illustrated introduction to one of the world's most complicated ecosystems, the rain forest, from Washington Post/Children's Book Guild Award winner Gail GibbonsNature's Green Umbrella... This description may be from another edition of this product.
GREAT BOOK! I'm a teacher and will use this as a learning tool about rainforests. The pictures alone teach a lot, and I love that it explains every level of the rainforest. Gail Gibbons does it once again!

Gail Gibbons' Nature's Green Umbrella is an excellent introduction to the climate, ecology, structure, food, and medicines of the rainforest. The book is a great resourse for the elementary classroom teacher but too much information for a picture book.
An excellent, accurate book

This book can be used as an excellent teaching tool. It provides a great introduction to the rainforests, and is full of facts about animals, medicines, and plants that are found in the rainforests.
