Great intriguing book!

This book draws you in immediately. It doesn’t dwell on the apocalyptic events or plague, that’s the stage dressing set up. The story itself is full of adventure, and intrigue. Who is Annie or what is Annie? Jack is fascinated by her but also unnerved. As the story unfolds, secrets and mysteries are revealed. It will sweep you along as you step into a dangerous new world. The author, Daniel Barnes, vividly describes not just the scenery, but the characters, emotions, and conflicts. You feel as though you’re right there as a silent witness, rooting for Jack and Annie. Whilst booing the bad guys. This book should become a movie! I’m anxious to read the next book.
