This book by Marco Cattaneo and Jasmina Trifoni from White Star Publishers is a prototypical coffee table book, full of great pictures taken in some of the most beautiful and impressive natural sites in the world. Indeed, each site has been granted "World Heritage" status by UNESCO after nomination by its government and review by the World Conservation Union (IUCN). The book combines landscape photos with photos of the wildlife found in each nature reserve or national park and brief written descriptions of the site. The volume is remarkably affordable, perhaps because of sponsorship by UNESCO's World Heritage Center and the Italian National Commission for UNESCO.
