Callie Gardner's Naturally, It Is Not is a modern classic. Written between the Spring Equinoxes of 2016 and 2017, this is a collection that moves between forms, shifting seasonally through the year in four extended letter-poems.

This memorial edition, in light of Callie's tragic passing in 2021, expands upon the 2018 publication including a tribute from CA Conrad, and critical essays from Iain Morrison and Nat Raha that engage with Callie's experimentation, lyric voice, queerness, and intellectual rigour.

Ultimately, radical sociality and utopian politics undergird Callie's extraordinary contribution to contemporary poetry, of which Naturally, It Is Not remains their only completed full-length collection.
