National Pastime

Baseball, for some it is America's finest tradition. Two families unite to put a twist on America's national pastime and reintroduce it to many who have lost their way in celebrating their great country. In so doing, the creators of the phenomenon called National Pastime find that America has found another national pastime, this one devoid of tradition and dignity. They find that their quest to reunite and entertain the country through the magic of baseball with its inherent tradition of fair play and good sportsmanship, turns up America's dark and ugly underbelly. America it seems has a new national pastime and it is not played on a fine day in a sun-drenched park. Its umpires are rulers and it is played in hidden chambers with no one watching to holler, "Kill the umpire." Baseball with its genuine respect for human dignity shows itself to be the antithesis of the corruption permeating the courts of America today. The magic of baseball is that above all, human dignity is respected. What court in American today can honestly say the same?
