This is an excellent pictorial rendition of world geography and historic sites of considerable importance to many nation states. For instance, the Biblos in Beirut is shown, as well as the Hindu gods of Shiva. The rule of Herod is depicted together with the Etruscans. The first empire of the Qin Dynasty is shown in full color. The Berbers, Libyans, Numidians and Ethiopians are depicted as the first kingdoms of Africa. The rediscovery of the Machu Picchu is depicted from the 15th century. This is an important acquisition for anyone interested in world culture, geography and history. It is reasonably priced for the thrifty at heart.
